F2F Staff Week - Holmes New York 2012

After travelling, some for up to 18 hours, an interesting group of young leaders gathered at Auburn Seminary Offices on Broadway. In the back drop of thunder and lightning we were armed with our luggage, snacks and a train ticket given the instruction to make our way to Holmes.

There was much excitement in the air as we gathered on friendship hill at the Peace Pole; the place where the participants would be arriving a week later.  We gathered as the Counsellor-Fellow team of Face to Face|Faith to Faith 2012. And so began Staff Week.

So far the week has been filled with learning workshops, planning sessions, a bowling outing and opportunities of getting to know the diverse and fun filled team making up the counsellor/fellow group.

‘I really enjoyed the media training workshop as it gave us easy and effective skills to use when dealing with the media. It’s important for us to use media in a way that creates social change and promotes justice and equality.’ – Sarah Oliver
